Okay. There were a lot of good shows in 2022. I didn’t have the chance to review some of them yet, but I’m still going to list them anyway since I didn’t post a lot last year.

Gruff father figure adopts adorable orphan? One of my favorite tropes. Found family? Again, top-tier trope. Marriage of convenience? It’s growing on me. I pretty much love everything about the series, except for the incest.
My review only focused on the first half of Season 1 – but trust me the second half is just as great.
That’s really not needed. And there’s already news of a Season 2 and a movie. Count me in.
I almost forgot this came out in 2022. It felt like forever ago. Anyway – this was a brilliant season. The twist at the beginning is followed by a season of intrigue and exploring identity. I really enjoyed it. The final battle was epic – certainly more than I was expecting since Netflix is producing it.
Honestly, it made me feel like a kid again. I loved it.

Ok. I didn’t review this because the season just ended but…I actually really enjoyed it, surprisingly. Chainsaw Man isn’t normally the kind of anime I go for – but my boyfriend convinced me to give it a shot. I’m glad I did.
The show is much deeper than I thought it would be – and it seems very aware of many tropes are perceived – especially when it comes to women, but plays with them. Sure, the main character is kind of a pervert but the female characters are all fleshed out, and interesting and don’t exist solely to be romantic interests.
There’s always something more.
Plus, the opening theme has some brilliant homages to cinema, and the closing theme changes with each episode…which is pretty cool.
It’s not for everyone, but I would certainly encourage people to give it a shot.
It’s hard to review an anthology where each episode is so different from the last. But there is so much to love about this show. Season 3 was a little disappointing compared to the first, but still great.
There is a variety of interesting characters, and so many different art styles and animation mediums, all in different tones. There’s an episode for everyone in this – you just gotta be patient.
I can’t wait for more.
