“Wendell & Wild” is a bit messy, but wonderful
Stop-motion horror films might be one of my favorite niche genres. For some reason, the medium intertwines with the genre so well. And Wendell & Wild just proves my theory further.
“The Deer King” is just another Ghibli wannabe.
But much like Studio Ponoc - "The Deer King" has all the trappings of a Ghibli film but none of the heart.
